Music for the 100 Years' War Released

James' recording with The Binchois Consort, Music for the 100 Years' War is now available from Hyperion Records. The album celebrates in musical guise the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, fought on 25 October 1415.

Highlights include Alto Soloist Messiah with the Leeds Philharmonic, Pallade/Famigliare I L'Incoronazione di Poppea with Opera de Lyon, Cyrus Belshazzar with the Petros Singers in London, and The Boy/Angel 1 (cover) Written On Skin at the Royal Opera House.

AAM on BBC Radio 3 In Concert

Tonight, the Academy of Ancient Music's performance of JS Bach Lenten and Passiontide Cantatas at Milton Court Concert Hall, London, will be broadcasted live on BBC Radio 3. Tune in to hear James singing with the choir and performing the alto solos in Cantata No 39 'Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot' from 7:30pm.

The programme will be available to listen to on the BBC Radio 3 website shortly after the broadcast for a month.

BBC Radio 3 - In Tune

On the 21 March edition of BBC Radio 3's In Tune, James will be performing two arias from the AAM Lenten and Passiontide Bach Cantatas concert programme, Leget Euch from BWV182 and Seinem Schöpfer from BWV39, with members of the Academy of Ancient Music. The programme will be available to listen to here shortly after broadcast, or listen in live on BBC Radio 3 at 4:30pm. 

The concert in Milton Court, London on the 24th March will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
